The lighting project carried out by BPM Lighting, following the guidelines and philosophy of the architectural design developed by the Arquitectos Ayala studio for Cajamar's central headquarters in the Almería Science and Technology Park (PITA), stands out as an example of innovation and commitment to sustainability and well-being.

In collaboration with the installation company Montajes de Electricidad Moya, a lighting system was implemented that complements the architectural design and reinforces its aesthetic lines. The result is a functional and visually refined lighting concept, focused on user well-being and energy efficiency.

An Ambitious Project with Workplace Wellness Certifications

Cajamar's headquarters is designed not only for efficiency, but also to promote well-being in the work environment, backed by the most prestigious certifications: LEED Platinum and WELL, ensuring high standards of sustainability and workspace quality.

Key Building Facts:

  • 33,800 m² of land area

  • 21,300 m² built above ground

  • 35,000 m² built below ground

  • 20,000 m² of open and landscaped areas

  • 940 initial workstations, plus collaborative workspaces

Following the Architectural Visual Language

Aligned with the overall guidelines defined by the architectural visual language, the lighting design is conceived to highlight clean lines and define clear directional flows. Continuous luminaires were used—some stretching over 20 meters in length in certain rooms—establishing a modern and uniform style that creates both functional and visually striking environments.

  • High Luminous Performance
The implemented solution greatly exceeds the required 750 lux on the workplane, as specified by the UNE 12464-1 standard (updated in March 2022). This regulation ensures appropriate lighting in terms of well-being, comfort, efficiency, and safety.

  • Direct Lighting with Low-UGR Lenses (<19)
These are designed to minimize glare and enhance visual comfort, which is essential in high-performance work environments.

  • Indirect Lighting with High-Efficiency Diffusers
A solution that blends elegance and functionality, improving spatial perception and reducing visual contrasts.

  • Dynamic Control Systems
Lighting automatically adjusts according to ambient conditions, optimizing energy consumption and enhancing user comfort.

This project represents a fusion of cutting-edge architecture, sustainability, and advanced lighting technology, offering an environment that promotes well-being and productivity. BPM Lighting has played a crucial role by integrating customized lighting solutions that elevate the overall spatial experience.
